Excitement was at its pinnacle! The atmosphere was clogged up with an unusual anxiety, the anxiety of the execution of the event ‘ICT Endeavour in Ahlcon: Getting Ready for 2020 Classrooms’ of the ICT leadership program in Ahlcon.

With the technology sky rocketing day by day with the calendars witnessing ewer and newer days and with the scientists outsmarting them day by day, we can’t afford to stay behind, can’t we miss the wave of change. The day started off with the ICT participants completely engrossed in the preparation of the event of the program, where the students of the programme would be battling and competing against each other to clinch the awards title.
The mission was to develop innovative and skillful learners who can contribute to the betterment of the society. The clock had struck 1 pm and the competition began spreading its essence, the students of the senior section hurriedly bustled in the auditorium and geared up to witness such an intoxicating and provocative event. The competition was graced with the presence of our honorable Principal Mr. Ashok K Pandey and Senior Section In-charge Ms. Sangita Maliwal.

In future, by the year 2020, the classrooms and the teaching systems will be nothing like we have them now. Instead of having proper classes students will be given a list of topics which they will have to research and master, and teach it to the others. To get acquainted with this system, we, group of 30-35 students were allotted different “Tech Tools” to explore by our mentor Mr. S.C. Joshi. A total of 7 groups participated in the ICT leadership event. The competition progressed with the presentation of the participating groups who employed the new tech tool known as “Prezi” which is presentation software which allows the user to showcase their ideas on a virtual canvas.
All the students battled out and presented their tools in front of all 9th and 10th  students, where they were judged on their overall presentation in 5 different categories by esteemed judges  Ms. Sunita Rajiv and Ms. Urvashi Agarwal. Event started off with remarkable compeering of  Devpriya Pathak and Atishay Garg. Towards the end, a two and a half minutes long movie was projected on the large white screen which depicted the journey of the programme till now. The movie was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. The program finally came to an end with the Principal’s opinions and the comments on the whole event.

The participants backstage had all their fingers crossed and anxiously waited to know who had grabbed the first position. Seconds ticked by and so did the heartbeats. The results had arrived. Diksha and Sanya had presented their tool “Popplet” and won the first prize for the same. Karan and Rachit had presented their tool “Quizlet” and won second prize. Kirti and Dhruv presented their tool “EDMODO” and got third prize. Winners were elated and ecstatic about their positions. The Principal Sir appreciated the hard work of the students a lot and advised to use all those tools in our daily life. The programme went exactly the way it was planned and conceptualized. This was not the end but the beginning of a new journey in Ahlcon.
